Yes, the adhesive strips we use are industrial strength and are considered permanent just like using a liquid construction adhesive. A solution some people use if they want to remove them later is to attach thin plywood veneer or hardboard (available at your local home improvement store) to the wall, then attach the peel and stick planks to the plywood.

In the proper application, your boards should have no problem sticking, however, if you notice a corner popping up or have a stubborn plank, it could be due to the surface not being completely clean or dry. No worries – just add a couple of small trim nails to hold it in place.

Yes, we offer samples. Just send an email and we will send you a free sample. If you are unsure about the surface you are applying the planks to, we do recommend trying out the peel and stick planks on an inconspicuous area first to make sure the adhesive will work for your application.

We recommend 48-72 hours since wood changes in different environments and humidity levels.

Yes! If your ceiling is relatively smooth you can use the peel and stick planks. You still may want to tack in a few trim nails for added strength. If you have a popcorn ceiling, we recommend using our “Nail Up” planks (without the adhesive) in combination with liquid construction adhesive.

Our adhesive strips work best on a smooth surface. If you are unsure, we recommend trying a sample piece in an inconspicuous place, waiting a few days, and then checking the adhesion. You can choose to use our “Nail Up” planks on a rougher surface.

In most cases, the planks can be used around a fireplace as long as they are not exposed to combustible materials. Each situation is unique so we recommend referring to your fireplace’s safety manual for instructions. We have many happy customers that have transformed their fireplaces using our reclaimed wood planks.
